2. Terms of use
These terms apply to everyone who uses shelfdrop.com, including Shelfdrop Intelligence. By using the site you accept them. If you don't, please don't use it.
What the site is for. It tells you about Shelfdrop and what we do for drinks brands, and it publishes Shelfdrop Intelligence, our data on the online drinks shelf. We don't sell anything directly on this website yet. Buy links take you to other retailers, who sell to you on their own terms.
Shelfdrop Intelligence. The data is free to read and to quote with a link. How you may use it, and what you may not do with it (copying, scraping, republishing, resale or reuse in other products or AI models), is set out in our data terms, which form part of these terms. A free Shelfdrop Intelligence account is for the person who signed up and can't be shared.
Our content. The text, design, graphics, data and code on this site belong to Shelfdrop Ltd or are used with permission. You may link to any page and quote short extracts with credit. Anything more needs our written permission.
Using the site fairly. Don't try to break into the site, overload it, get around sign-in or rate limits, or collect content with bots, scrapers or AI agents.
Tools. The duty calculator, label checker and our other tools are a guide. Check anything important with HMRC or a qualified adviser before you rely on it.
Other websites. We link to retailers, producers and other sites. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content, prices, delivery or how they handle your data.
Our liability. We work to keep the site accurate and available, but we can't promise it always will be. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any loss that comes from using the site or relying on what it says. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit.
Changes and law. We may update these terms; the version on this page applies from the date below. They are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
3. Data and accuracy
Figures on Shelfdrop Intelligence are Shelfdrop Intelligence estimates of the UK and EU online drinks shelf, refreshed every week. How the data works explains what we scan and what each number means.
- Prices are from our scan on the date shown on the page. Prices and availability can change at any time, and the price on the retailer's site when you buy is the one that applies.
- Not advice. Nothing on this site is financial or investment advice, and it isn't legal or tax advice either.
- Corrections are welcome. If you spot something wrong, tell us (see corrections and takedown).
4. Trademarks and no endorsement
Brand names, product names, logos and product images on this site belong to their owners. We use them only to identify the products we report on.
A product appearing on this site isn't an endorsement of it by Shelfdrop, and it doesn't mean the brand endorses, sponsors or works with Shelfdrop.
Rankings are never paid for. A bottle's place in a table comes from the data alone. No brand, retailer or anyone else can pay to appear, to move up or to change what we show. Some brands on these pages work with Shelfdrop; they're ranked on exactly the same basis as everyone else, and we never publish their sales figures.
5. Affiliate links
As an Amazon Associate, Shelfdrop earns from qualifying purchases.
- Buy links on Shelfdrop Intelligence pages (shelfdrop.com/data) may be affiliate links. If you buy through one, the retailer may pay us a commission. It doesn't change the price you pay.
- Affiliate links never change a ranking. Every bottle gets a Buy link, whether or not it earns us anything, and the link has no effect on where a bottle sits in a table.
- Links to other retailers may also be affiliate links. When they are, we mark them.
- Shelfdrop is part of the Decant Group, which also runs House of Decant, an online drinks retailer. If House of Decant appears among the retailers on our pages, it's treated like any other retailer and never favoured.
6. Corrections and takedown
If something on this site is wrong, or you own a brand, product name, image or other content on it and want it corrected or removed, email start@shelfdrop.com with:
- the link to the page, and the bottle or figure if it's on a data page;
- what's wrong, and what it should say;
- anything that shows it, such as a link to the producer's own page;
- for a removal, who you are and your connection to the content, for example the trade mark or copyright owner, or someone acting for them.
We reply within 5 working days. Where a correction is right we make it, normally by the next refresh, and we remove anything that infringes your rights. Rankings and estimates come from the data, so we can't move a bottle up or down on request, but we will fix any fact that's wrong, such as a size, strength, producer or category.
7. Drink responsibly
